The Non-Invasive Prenatal  NIPT Test is a highly accurate screening method used during pregnancy to assess the risk of certain genetic conditions in the developing baby. Conducted as early as the 10th week of pregnancy, NIPT analyzes small fragments of fetal DNA present in the mother's blood. This test is especially effective in detecting chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18), and Patau syndrome (Trisomy 13). Unlike invasive procedures like amniocentesis, NIPT poses no risk to the fetus, making it a safe option for expectant parents seeking early and reliable insights into their baby’s health.
